Terms and Conditions

When you come to Narooma for your Montague Island adventure, we want you to have the funnest day ever, so, below you’ll find the house rules, regulations and do’s and don’ts that ensure both parties are looked after.

  • All tours are dependent on minimum numbers to go ahead. Sea and weather conditions can vary and will be assessed for suitability on the day.

  • Short notice cancellations are very rare, we are quite good at forecasting a few days ahead.. However, cancellations can occur due to sudden changes in the weather. If in the event of a cancelled charter, we will try and give you as much notice as possible. Any cancellations by Underwater Safaris will result in a FULL refund or reschedule where possible.

  • Cancellations or ‘no shows’ within our 72-hour cancellation policy will result in a 100% cancellation fee.

  • Passengers with back, neck, shoulder or heart conditions, or those who are pregnant or who have injuries/conditions that may cause a risk to their health must notify us before boarding the boat, we cannot permit those at high health risk to ride on the boat. If you do not notify us, then you ride completely at your own risk.

  • You as a customer acknowledge that you must produce a dive certification card on the day, and that as standard practice, a NO CARD – NO DIVING rule applies. If you do not have a diving card, you must inform Underwater Safaris prior to your tour so that you can be checked online. Sorry, but no checks can be done on the day.

  • As the customer you are responsible for safe diving practices before, during and after your diving with Underwater Safaris. For example; not exceeding NDLs, surfacing with 50 bar minimum, and also NO flying for 24 hours after diving. These are mandatory practices and we assume all divers are aware of their responsibilities as a certified diver. Please refer to the PADI safe diving statement of understanding.

  • Customers must acknowledge that any diving equipment used or borrowed is your responsibility, and you are financially accountable for any loss or damage to Underwater Safaris gear as a result of carelessness or misuse. For example; not attaching your cylinder to the boat and it falls over, dropping your weight belt on equipment and damaging it.. or dropping your weight belt to the bottom of the ocean and not notifying your diving guide. You the customer, authorise Underwater Safaris to charge you to cover any loss or damages to equipment borrowed or hired.

  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere or anytime on our vessels of Underwater Safaris.

  • If the situation demands it, Underwater Safaris reserves the right to refuse passengers for any reason.
